IMO, becoming successful on YouTube involves a little bit of everything, including luck. But I really believe nowadays it is about how many people are exposed to your content-- knowingly or unknowingly.
I think it is better pairing up with other Youtubers to expand the possibilities of you getting noticed, as you appear not in one video of a same upload but two or three, etc.
In other words, the amount of people doing YouTube and uploading the same content as you will severely decrease your success on getting noticed and YT in general. Pairing up with friends or potential friends would mutually benefit both/all of you.
Regardless, I'm not surprised little channels like us is getting little to no noticed lol, its all about the PewDies or Vanoss nowadays.
