Mira Nikki was kinda creepy to me but overall a good show to watch however , Naruto is overrated at this point in my opinion

Mirai Nikki was a pretty good anime. They certainly had a unique story. As for Naruto being overrated? Isn't all anime that has over 100 episodes overrated?

I quite liked Bleach a lot when I had time to watch anime, everything else I tried to get into like Naruto, Death Note, Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan.

I think I remember liking more but the names escape me, but I do remember watching a Butt Ton of Yu-Gi-Oh when I was a boy :)

I personally think people should watch Gatchaman CROWDS. Lots of action, awesome music and a story that has depth to it. :D

HunterxHunter is pretty good too, both the old one and the remake. They have characters that are complex in a way that makes them seem like real people. Even the antagonists can be likeable because no one is truly good or bad. It really makes the story interesting.

I have looked at Gatchaman CROWDS with curiosity several times on whether or not I should try it. You made up my mind on it. Will certainly watch it the next time.

Glad I could convert another anime fan to start watching CROWDS. I hope you enjoy it! It might not be some people's cup of tea since the protagonist is a little strange. She does have some really strong values though and it makes you look at a situation in a whole new perspective.

I think I got through 50 episodes of the original Naruto and lost interest. Anime just doesn't entertain me personally =)

Heh .. Naruto isn't exactly one of the best anime to try and get interested into anime. It has way to many filler. If you want to give anime a real go, it's better to search for something that not only sounds interesting to you, but also has a lower number of episodes. So that way you are less likely to get bored or lose interest.

A lot of people always assume Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Bleach and anything else that tends to appear on American TV some how represent anime. Truth of the matter is, most of the anime that pops up on basic channels are less mature anime that really doesn't have any of complicated stories and is easy for teenagers to get into. The only way you will ever get to see any really really good anime on TV is if you have the Funimation channel or anime network channel. But even then it's hard to get into since your are unlikely to ever catch an anime on the first episode.

I am sort of curious though .. why did you even bother going through 50 episodes of something that didn't entertain you? Sounds more like it entertained you at first, but simply lost interest later on.

I suggest if you like strategic, intelligent, and suspense. Try out Death Note.
If you like action and adventure, Full Metal Alchemist is always a pretty good anime to start on. Though I personally recommend Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood ... it's better in my opinion.
If you like action and comedy Trigun is fantastic, though it does sort of get a bit serious and very dramatic toward the end.

In other words, mostly anyone can find an anime they would enjoy, as long as you don't mind the art style. It's no different then show or movies. Except ... Anime tends to have more ... unique stories compared to the west.

Damn that is one big butt reply!

Anyway - Yes I did enjoy Naruto at the Start. I slowly lost interest as I got bored of the plot. I only saw 1 filler what wasn't the problem I just lost interest. I've also watch 1 or 2 episodes of Bleach & Dragon Ball Z. What I just didn't enjoy. Pokemon is al-right in my opinion I've just grown out of it and have only really loved the Gameboy + Nintendo Ds Games!

I'll watch some of the others animes you have recommend and I'll tell you if I change my mind =)

I watched Naruto and Bleach for about 100 episodes or so. I was hoping it would get better but it seemed like the story was being made up as it went on, and they were filled with so many filler episodes it got tedious waiting for the "real" ones all the time.

I try to finish anime even if I get bored of it. I never drop anime, just can't do it. I may put it on hold, but never will actually just never watch it. But that is only because I am obsessed with anime.
