Indeed, I rather have active subscribers than lots of phantoms ones.

I'd rather have more views than subs since when you have alot of subs but so few views you get really demotivated, whilst having more views than subs you just keep on making videos hoping for the people who come back and watches you're videos from time to time would subscribe. Idk

Views without a doubt, that's the whole point of YouTube. Too many people get caught up on the number of Subs to realize that there are tons of Youtubers out there seemingly not that successful sine their Sub count is lower than other channels but in reality they are making more money and have more active viewers than the channels with a way higher sub count. Of course the goal is to have both, active subscribers viewing your content.
