I have come to the realisation that all my subs are basically YouTubers who only wanted a sub back. My channel isn't growing and I need help to fix that. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Yes you need to interact with your viewers and make them feel that its their channel as well.
You really do need to interact with subscribers in the comments like has been said, ask them questions or even just ask how they are in the videos. People like to think you are talking directly to them so anyway it looks like you are engaging with them makes them want to come back or talk
