YouTube Reaching Your First Milestone

I feel that the first big Milestone on YT is reaching that sweet 100 subscribers.

I was wondering, what tips to people have to reach it? Does anyone have any stories of success they had with a certain video?

And how long did it take you to reach that number on your channel?

I got my first 100 subs in 4 weeks, all I did was look for trends and do what I think would be suitable for that trend.

Well I just started YouTube since the last month and i'm doing pretty good I guess.
I have done my best in getting views and reaching my goal of hitting 10k views by the end of this year.
All that I have tried to do is to try and make better quality videos.
I use paint.net to edit my thumbnails and use Sony Vegas Pro 14 to edit my videos.
