YouTube Promote Using Adsense?

Does promoting using adsense actually work in the long run? Simple question lol. And if you have used the promote option in your video manager then please tell me your experience!

It's like sustainable energy. First, it takes a lot to start up. You've got to be patient to work out all the kinks. But once it works, it works, and it's all uphill, right from the get go, no matter what.
As long as you're promoting content you believe in, and can always stand behind, you'll get there. But just like anything, you've got to work at it. I've been putting in huge hours just for the start up, and gaining online presence. I don't even have the content I want to be posting yet, but that will come eventually.
