Hey Guys & Gals, coming to you today with maybe a well known question maybe not, im looking to build a gaming PC but not for gaming on the actual PC. Just want my console to be on one screen and my computer with editing software and another screen to allow for that. All intertwined through my elgato. I already have a webcam 1080p i have a blue snowball mic, ive done videos on my youtube but i want to get better at it and also better at streaming. Which unfortunately my samsung laptop (model no. NP700Z5C-S02UB) just isnt quite up to par with when it comes to streaming i can record my gameplay but i cant even add my digital camera to it without lagging and everything being off from video to audio aspect. So i need a better/bigger rig i just want to know what are some of the things i need to be looking for i know i need at least 16 gb's ram i know i need a tower i know i need at least i5, but the more specific things of like graphics cards do i really need a good graphics card seeing as i wont even be playing games on the computer via disc i really only play console and probably wont ever make the switch because thats where all my friends play. So if someone could be so kind to give me some products and things of what they think would be sufficient for my need that would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks Freedom Fam!

If you arnt going to be playing games I suggest you look up the editing and streaming software you want to use and check the system requirements for that, as that will probably be your most resource intense applications...

Well just like you mentioned, you will want to get an i5 processor, and the RAM you plan on getting is an adequate amount. As for the video card, you're not going to need the top of the line since you don't plan on playing PC games. So quite possibly the nVidia 960 cards should be good enough for what you plan on doing.

I will chime in on this also

So I have built 3 computers for youtube and gaming and using unity and such now.....all of my builds have 16gb of ram...my video card I used a low cost power color radeon 7750 I believe that was the model correct me if im wrong. My processor was a AMD 6700k and that did wonders for recording and gaming on the pc also my second build was an AMD 9590 gets HOT but allowed me to record in 1080p 60fps using the Live Gamer Extreme which is CPU INTENSIVE! But I can literally play off of the recording screen since it had a very small delay 0.05ms to be precise. Now my third build was an Intel I7 3770 with a MSI R9 390 gpu of course more expensive but in the long run worth it but I suggest the 6700k budget build with a usb 2.0 capture card and a 19in tv that you can place next to your monitor and you will be set[DOUBLEPOST=1453382409][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh I also using sony vegas for editing
