Hey guys! There have been a lot of questions regarding Freedom! points lately, so we've decided to create this little post to clear up some confusion.

We will be updating this post whenever something new comes up so be sure to check in often!

What is Freedom! Points?
Freedom! Points is a system in which partners can gain points based on channel growth and community participation, which can then be exchanged for various perks. At the moment, the points can be exchanged for a higher revenue share for a particular month but other things may be offered in the future.]

The current situation (as of June 14, 2014)
Freedom! Points is currently in BETA -- which means that it is in the testing stage and functionality is at a bare minimum at the moment. It's only been open to the public so the developers can get more feedback on the system. Because of this, there are some important things to note:

1. Points can be redeemed, but will not be processed.
   You can spend your points on the revenue bonuses but the bonuses themselves will not be handed out. As much as we would love to give all our lovely partners the increased revenue share, there's a huge risk involved in doing something like that when the system is still not in tip-top shape.
   
   
2. The calculation of points should still work regardless.
   You should still be able to earn points from your channel growth and community participation even if we are still in the testing phase. If there are points that haven't been rightfully given to you, be sure to contact our support team about this at [email protected] or you can directly contact the developer at [email protected].
   
   
3. All points will be wiped after the BETA.
   Yep, that's right. All points earned will be removed from your account once testing is done, so you can actually spend all your points without having to worry about the future. We understand that these points are valuable to our partners, so some sort of compensation will be in the works for those who participated in the BETA. Details on what that will be will be announced whenever the information is available.

Hmm just noticed this thread about points.. you really should mention the beta thing on the points page of the Dashboard I know it states it is in Beta but it does not mention the fact you cannot get the benefits from it... That to me is a major blow as I was really excited when I earned 100 points.

We've been contacting the developers to provide more information on the Dashboard. Please understand that us mods are only in charge of the forums, and while we can and are forwarding your concerns to the developers, it is not guaranteed that they'll listen to us. A more direct way that will show them that people are actually demanding this would be to e-mail them directly via the address they provided on the dashboard.

As you know, we get points for community participation. This means posting, getting likes and ultimately getting awards.
If you check your received awards, you can see your points. I have 68. You get Freedom! Points for getting forum points. When the wipe happens, will we be refunded the points we earned from the forums in Freedom! Points? Essentially what I'm saying is will we get our Freedom! Points back that we earned on the forums?

I think we should be able to get them back, since the points are perpetually recorded on our accounts. If that doesn't happen on the official release, we can always get the developers to do it since the data can be easily grabbed.

As mentioned before, the system is still in beta and currently, the dashboard is having issues with pulling analytics and also processing Freedom! points. The devs are working on it.

Is there any information on why Freedom! points are being removed from our accounts, seemingly for no reason? Is it a bug, or is there a way to actually lose them?

Since Freedom! is currently doing that 100K sponsorship dealy. What if after the year, or even during this year, people can use their points to get those things that are being offered in the sponsorship? Or just discounts (or full purchases depending on how much the channel makes) of products from the sponsors. Since the points are in a way money that would go to someone.

Like say I won the Freedom! sponsorship and got the headset (cuz mine is held together by tape) but I really wanted that Track ball mouse and Keyboard. I could use the points for a small discount, or if I have enough just by the thing with them, and could help my channel even more.

I know there would be a lot more to go into it. But it's a thought since y'all are getting all these sponsors working with you. And if someone has already thought of this then poo I'm too slow.

Well, it appears that this has been resolved as just a lack of communication that went wrong. I can understand that.

Though I do think that this is deceptive advertising. I would suggest changing this before more people get confused.

This is false advertising.
I joined Freedom! by the possibility of reaching 110% with Freedom! Points, but it do not work, they are fake.

I feel cheated and lied to many more people will end up realizing this, and angry. If I were you put the Freedom! Points YA REALLY !!
