Hey guys! There have been a lot of questions regarding Freedom! points lately, so we've decided to create this little post to clear up some confusion.

We will be updating this post whenever something new comes up so be sure to check in often!

What is Freedom! Points?
Freedom! Points is a system in which partners can gain points based on channel growth and community participation, which can then be exchanged for various perks. At the moment, the points can be exchanged for a higher revenue share for a particular month but other things may be offered in the future.]

The current situation (as of June 14, 2014)
Freedom! Points is currently in BETA -- which means that it is in the testing stage and functionality is at a bare minimum at the moment. It's only been open to the public so the developers can get more feedback on the system. Because of this, there are some important things to note:

1. Points can be redeemed, but will not be processed.
   You can spend your points on the revenue bonuses but the bonuses themselves will not be handed out. As much as we would love to give all our lovely partners the increased revenue share, there's a huge risk involved in doing something like that when the system is still not in tip-top shape.
   
   
2. The calculation of points should still work regardless.
   You should still be able to earn points from your channel growth and community participation even if we are still in the testing phase. If there are points that haven't been rightfully given to you, be sure to contact our support team about this at [email protected] or you can directly contact the developer at [email protected].
   
   
3. All points will be wiped after the BETA.
   Yep, that's right. All points earned will be removed from your account once testing is done, so you can actually spend all your points without having to worry about the future. We understand that these points are valuable to our partners, so some sort of compensation will be in the works for those who participated in the BETA. Details on what that will be will be announced whenever the information is available.

Im still stuck at 41 points it says my views and subs increased by % but still no points is this a bug

All data will be wiped after the testing, so anything you redeemed during the beta will not be processed now or anytime in the future. We are working on a way to fairly compensate this though but there are no details on what we'll be doing as of yet.

Well, it appears that this has been resolved as just a lack of communication that went wrong. I can understand that.

Though I do think that this is deceptive advertising. I would suggest changing this before more people get confused.

It says "can grow to 110%" that is not saying it will, it is a possibility not a promise.

The use of the word "can" infers that you are at least able to, when no one actually is.

It is open ended though, so it is not breaking anything. George made it clear in videos and it says in the dashboard that it is in beta etc too.

It's false advertising to tell customers (partners in this case) they can get something if they sign up, and not actually have it. That's like Target saying that if you sign up for a Gold Membership, you can get all of their products 20% off, when in reality they aren't. I understand it's in Beta, but it shouldn't be advertised as a feature. Not everyone watches the George Show or browses the forums.

^ Yea I am pretty disappointed aswell, my YouTube hit a peak last month and I redeemed 110%, little did I know my hopes and patience would be wasted. There was no email or anything saying the points didnt work either, I literally had to be redirected to this forum post from a Paragon support member (And they arent even associated with Freedom! points as they informed me). It doesnt make sense to be able to build and redeem points if its useless in the end :/ Plus what happens to the points we use? And what about the points we build now? For some channels it may be very difficult to get good peaks in views, does that mean for the time being our hard work is not worth it?

Hmm just noticed this thread about points.. you really should mention the beta thing on the points page of the Dashboard I know it states it is in Beta but it does not mention the fact you cannot get the benefits from it... That to me is a major blow as I was really excited when I earned 100 points.
