A good day to you all,
Yesterday I took the decision to join the Freedom! team, and right now I'm making sure I've introduced myself, trying to meet some people from here, and got all my emails verified etc.
I'm Darren, YouTube name is Daclypse.
I've only been creating videos for YT properly for 3 months, trying to get views and subscribers. I believe my stats at the moment are 3944 views and 230 subscribers. The reason I started YouTube was after me and my friends playing Destiny were helping others daily with multiple things, showing them how to do certain quests and activities and often helping each other. To add to this, we had THE BEST times ever whilst playing which was funny and enjoyable for others to join in with.
This is what made me realise there were things I wanted to share with a community; Help on video games, and entertainment! So I took myself to YouTube a year ago and posted a little video on how to get under the map at the tower if any of you know what I'm talking about. I then decided to carry this on after a long break, created facebook communities and engaged with MANY more people who encouraged me a lot.
My goals with YouTube are to provide entertainment quality, help to gamers who are looking for it and enjoy myself whilst I'm at it!
My current goals to hit are 2k subs by December 23rd 2016, expanding my channel 900% by the same day in 2015. And also to change a single person's life with something as simple as making them happier, giving them a reason to come back to gaming, helping them with something they found complicated, or just being a good friend.
Outside of YouTube? I work full time in the emergency services, play hockey and have a long term relationship. This means I don't have a lot of time, and I don't even do a lot! the 50 hour weeks are what get me the most. I don't watch much TV apart from TWD and GOT - occasionally watching How I Met Your Mother and other comedy programs IE The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, American Dad, Rules of Engagement and the crap my girlfriend makes me watch!
I'm a big film fan, and I own a cinema card meaning I pay one sum and go as much as I like each month! So I get a lot out of this too.
