I hope this is the right forum. One of the pinned threads in this forum is "Official Understanding Copyright," so ... fingers crossed that this is the right place.

I just used a DMCA to take down someone's stream of me. It was an old stream, well over a year old.

I can confirm that this channel is still receiving channel memberships and even super thanks, so his monetization privileges have not been revoked.

According to YouTube themselves, a livestream being taken down means you can't stream again for 90 days, unless you counter-notify. Does that rule apply, even if the stream is over a year old, as long as it was a livestream initially?

If not, then does this guy suffer ANY consequences from just this one strike?
