It can work but you should slim it down to 3-4 seconds. ½ second fade in. 3 seconds of logo + glitching and then ½ seconds of fading out. Also add some sound effects.

Diggin the intro dude. Simple, clean and awesome. But still, I agree with the top comment. Try adding some sound effects, some music and trim it down to 5 seconds or whatever floats your boat.
You could make an zoom out effect, where the logo fades in, would be really cool. it also will make the intro less static.
