YouTube Copyright Content ID?

Hi All

I put an acoustic cover of a Van Morrison song on my channel and got an email saying "
Hi Smalltown Joe,

A copyright owner using Content ID claimed some material in your video.

This is just a heads up
Don’t worry. You’re not in trouble and your account standing is not affected by this."

Shoud I be worried?? It hasn't happened before with other covers I've done

It just means someone has a claim on that song. Usually the email will tell you who has claimed it.

You don't have to worry. If it was a copyright strike then that is when you should be concerned.

Is it OK to do covers? I have seen some removed before.

I do covers, and obviously don't monetize them, never had an issue before...

It gets annoying get hit with a content ID claim lol You can usually appeal it but, that is if you was monetizing it yourself. It's not a big deal though
