I was wondering what are the best ways to promote videos. Let me know what methods you use and which networks for promoting your content.

As I've experienced, on reddit it's particularly hard as you get downvoted to ground before even anyone has really taken a look at your creation.

Social media overall, Facebook groups, collaborating with another youtuber, Steam groups, on your steam profile, messaging friends to check out your channel, I got two people who "advertise" my channel in their skype mood, without even asking them to do so.

Social media, collaboration, sometimes buying advertising for your video link on Facebook (by far the most affordable way of advertising that I've seen.) Telling friends, asking friends to share, etc. And Reddit can get you some views which may help boost a bit.
