Any DJ's out there?

I'm looking to start DJing and I really don't want to spend over 1,000 dollars on a macbook that everyone recommends. Short term wise I CAN afford a macbook if I can't find anything else. But I will start college in a few months and that will drain my funds fast..... and if Daft Punk tours I AM going XD. But do you know of any reasonably priced PC laptops that are good for DJ's? Most people also say to stay away from AMD when searching.

ignore people who say get a mac for djing, the same thing applies to design work.
depends what programs you're using to dj all i'd say is get something with a decent i5 8gb ram and that has good cooling
