Hey Freedom,

I found out my google/youtube analytics not only record other people coming on my channel.
But it records me watching my own videos too.
Is there a way you can turn youre self off from the analytics.

That would make the analytics more usefull

If you watch your own video, it counts as a view. A view is generally counted whenever someone enters the watch page.

yeah, I noticed that a while ago. You can watch you video from the Youtube edit without adding a view and retention time. But if you don't want to do that, just pause the video before it starts on normal youtube.

Hah, I always look at my videos too often, trying to change small bits, and seeing how it looks live. It's okay if it counts to your overall views.

Heh, I understand wanting to know your audience more too for analytics. Maybe focus on not looking on your videos, to edit them from your video manager area, and responding to comments outside of the video too ^^

Google's analytic are such a pain because of that lol! I've gotten to the point where I use the same rendering settings so I know exactly how the final product will look like.
