In this case my suggestion to add a switch where you change the background color to a sligther color like black, why? Because the white screen is too bright and some people find it disturbing. Its just much better adding an options changing the gui of the background of the page.

Dashboard: I don't think there is a way to change it, definitely something I would recommend if not.

If you go down to the bottom left and click "Freedom! Overhaulded *Default*" you can change the forum style to the dark theme. Or click the link Lawrence posted
