Does acoustic foam make the sound any better, if there is textiles in the room already? And does it insulate any sound, if i put it between my door and my mic?

Usually it is used to remove any echo from the surroundings and isolate your voice, so depending on what kind of room you have, it may have larger or small influence of the sound quality. In general it should be a good insulator for sound if set up properly, though this is just my theoretical knowledge and someone would have to actually test it.
