I assume you mean Google+ communities since those are obviously full of active Google+ members. Hmm worth a shot, i actually saw a video related to music marketing (i do a lot of music on my channel and soundcloud) which pretty much said the same thing that you said in your second sentence...

I forget, it was when i was first linked to Freedom and then i joined the forums and applied for a partner badge. It was in April i think because this was around the time that the first What the Fast promotion happened.

Hmm weird, i've been told the follower count on Google+ is a myth: it certainly isn't easy to get followers on there. Of course, i've also heard having a few followers on there does help establish your brand.

You can monetize Facebook videos i believe (Freedom Central even advertised this), twitter and instagram however don't really have a way for you to make money without linking to other websites.

Dude, i have like 70 subs and i found a guy with more than 200 subs willing to put me on his mixtape, so yeah, people will collab even if you have a small channel. But, you'll be more likely to get small channels to agree than big channels unless you have something they want. That's not true...
