I think @Der Sky is bang on. You need to make your channel less default looking. One thing I would do is maybe change up your Header and make it look more inviting, add some colour. Another suggestion and is really personal preference, maybe get a logo made? Really helps with branding. Hope...

I have been speaking with a friend of mine who does Youtube and they have suggested, watching some videos similar to mine and giving people feedback and asking for them to do the same in return. Is this not a form of sub4sub? I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on it.

Good or bad, let me know what you think, the aim is for anyone with the time to review my channel to really be critical of what I do and how you think I could improve from your standpoint.

I think the biggest thing is there are so many dead Youtube channels that arent used anymore, if YouTube used a random matrix to pull some usernames they could end up pulling accounts that are inactive now.

Personal opinion. If you have to really edit your voice using Audacity then you need a new Mic. I have a reasonable Microphone and do barely any editing in Audacity.
