Hideo Kojima has been through quite a bit with Konami. After the very bitter break up between the two long time business partners, Hideo Kojima left and started up his own studio Kojima Productions. There is some silver lining here amidst all the controversy and problems. Hideo Kojima is now working on a new console exclusive PS4 title which Sony is going to bank roll.
Kojima did have a few noteworthy things to say in recent interviews pertaining to leaving Konami and going into business for himself.
Now that I'm independent, I can do what I want with much more speed. I don't need to invest time in unnecessary presentations."
It is relieving to hear Hideo Kojima is now free to peruse his interests and is able to now create games more to his speed and ability. Gamers will be paying close attention till his next IP coming out and Konami will forever be remember as the company who fired the visionary who brought them globally successful games for 30 years.
