monitors

What are your thoughts on ultra wide monitors? I currently use dual normal monitors, but was thinking about changing to one ultra wide monitor. Don't really game much on my PC, use it mostly for video editing and school work. Is this the way to go?

So I just received my new Monitor today, and I'm so excited to unbox it. This is the 2nd item to my gaming setup which im building slowly. It's a really good monitor for it's price. It's the BENQ GW2470H.

Ive used a couple different ones such as OBS and found it difficult to use with all the different settings. My recording came in laggy when i did and I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if my computer is too slow. I need a free or very low priced software. Can anyone help?

I got a new gaming computer but it doesn't support VGA display so the monitor I already had doesn't work. so now I'm looking for some good monitors that are inexpensive and are made for gaming that support HDMI format.
