I use the first Elgato as I can capture footage from older consoles, works pretty well when using stuff like OBS alongside it etc

I wouldn't worry too much, they can fluctuate from time to time, but I think LtGeneralStore Gaming has hit the nail on the head. ive started running with a few at a time now and noticed it's helped lost something like 2 subs the other day but gained 2 recently so i wouldn't worry mate.
