I see you've got a lot of good tips here, I use GIMP myself, but Canva is a great online tool as well. The important thing to remember when doing thumbnails for a channel: try and make them have an overall similarity... Just ot give an example: all my thumbnails have a bitemark in them... that...

LOL, that's what I do :) just takes longer to upload, but people are more likely to watch the entire video if it's that quality :)

Streaming is indeed a great tool, IF you use the Youtube livestreamtool! I use Twitch myself, since I started streaming before youtube implemented the function. Another great way to reach more people is to go to forums related to the games you play and promote yourself! Don't spam your vids on...

I agree with the responses so far, check other channels related to yours, keep your tags related to eachother or group them... I personally use a [plugin for Chrome called tubebuddy, it helped me out quite a bit with tag selection

I stick with 1080p60fps myself, it'll take between 20 to 30 minutes to upload, but I do that ahead of time and keep my vids private untill I want them to go public. You can use the schedule option for that.... Pre-recording also allows you to have the occasional bum-day without missing out on...
