I upload on a consistent schedule. I focus on one topic for my channel (fps gaming). And I optimize my videos to rank up in the search. People who say that all you need is great quality content and dedication simply don't know how youtube's algorithm works... or that there even is one.

I love what I do. I don't have a lot of subs but It doesn't really matter to me. I know I'll get them eventually. Even if I never get to where I want to be on youtube i'd still make videos.

I think it depends. Since you want to build a bond then Id say the comments. If you want revenue id say views. Channel authority you'd need subs. and likes if you want to rank high in youtube search. It just depends on what you want.
