Hello, Branden Rapp here, and welcome to Frontier Forge! As you may have guessed, my channel is a Blacksmith channel. Now, before we get too deep into things, I want to point out that I'm not an expert. I've been doing this as a hobby for 2 years. I started my channel as a way to document my progress and learn and interact with others.
This video came about from a discussion where someone had mentioned that you can't forge steel with wood. Hogs wallow! The first forge I built, as seen in the video, is a wood forge. It's been done with wood for thousands of years and to prove that, I hammer out a simple wall hook out of some half inch round bar.
EDIT: I think in future videos I'm going to ditch the little western intro thing. I thought it fit my channel well, but now I'm not so sure I like it.
