Hello again, everybody! I hope you all had a good week and enjoyed your weekend. Although Freedom! Central ran a bit low on uploads last week, there are plenty of things going on and topics we can discuss!

Let's wrap up this week!

★ September’s Forum Contest begins! Congrats to last month’s winners, and good luck to everyone that participates this month! The new contest is all about reviews! https://freedom.community.tm/threads/september-2016-monthly-forum-contest-over-100-in-prizes.210827/

★ We've noticed a lot of people trying to reach out to the main Freedom! Twitter handle for support. Please remember that the main handle is for partner interaction, not for support. However, on the Freedom! Twitter page you will see places indicated where you can get help!

★ Things are going pretty good on Discord. Adjustments are made now and then accordingly. The MGN server is picking up activity again lately! That's cool! I wanted to put out a little note to everyone, that behavior is monitored while you're on any official Freedom! discord servers. There are consequences if you cause problems. Be nice, collaborate, and enjoy that our community can hang out together.

★ We’re working on creating a well organized system that will help us post the YouTube Audio Library’s collection of completely free (and attribution free even!) audio onto CRIB. Expect to see audio posts flowing again soon! I'm excited to be helping with this!

★ MGN Dashboard makeover! I could not track down an image of it unfortunately, but I know it fits their green on black theme. Check your dashboards MGN partners, see if it's updated! By the way, while sort of on the subject, the ☞ Sponsorship Reviews ☜ area of the main Freedom! Dashboard is also getting a facelift! :D

★ ItsJustJord has been busy, along with a growing team of helpers, working on the 2000 slot Minecraft Server for the #FreedomFamily!! Check out this sweet screenshot he posted on Twitter!

★ There appears to be a YouTube CMS bug that can cause videos to be falsely claimed after someone leaves a network. I spoke to Anthony about this and he indicated that this is rare, but if it does happen to any partner of any network they should reach out to Support ASAP and "try to be nice, no good comes from being mean to support people". I think ☞ this ☜ is an example of the bug. There's no 'dispute' button; seems like a sign of an issue.

★ As a bit of a follow up or continuation of the buzz surrounding demonetization on YouTube from last week's hot topic, I'd like to encourage everyone to read this "Why some YouTube stars are angry at the platform" article that CNBC wrote a few days ago: http://goo.gl/ljDjwi

★ Clearly McDonald's doesn't follow our #NeverGiveUp mantra. They shut down their YouTube channel. http://www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/mcdonalds-shuts-youtube-channel-amid-low-interest/1407963

★ If you're a YouTube mobile app user, you might have noticed they updated the user interface a little bit. If your app hasn't updated yet, the update is releasing in waves and might not have reached you yet. http://goo.gl/JEOHqO

Keep your eyes on Anthony Smith!
✔ Anthony has said (off the record) that he's looking into tools to help communicate tips and tricks to YouTube partners in a visual way that's time efficient. If I had to guess this could be the start of a new initiative with the QC department where they communicate better with people joining or maybe even give tips and tricks or full channel reviews in visual form... but, that's just my guess. Anthony is always saying he'd love to scale channel advisement.
✔ If you follow @AnAnthonySmith on Twitter you might figure out some hints at projects that could be in various stages of development. For example, his Twitter interactions with Gyazo. o_O Also, there was ☞ this ☜ exchange between him and Orlando Jones. I swear Anthony is always actively making contacts and brewing up ideas!
✔ There is a project that a few Community Team members are assisting with for at least a part of it. A teeny tiny hint as to what it might be about... in ☞ this ☜ Tweet from Anthony! ;)
✔ Yet another tweet that peaked my curiosity from Anthony, was something about a work victory. A new project maybe? It's hard to tell what it could be about since Anthony is a top dog in so many Freedom! areas/teams/departments. I have a feeling this was for a big milestone:

Get games on a budget!
Stef made a video about 'gaming on a budget' with some advice not often given. Keep in mind that in addition to Stef's suggestion, there are many awesome options for gamers on a budget such as Humble Bundle and Bundle Stars! Very nice to see Stef this week! The team was excited to see his video show up!

Custom Shoutouts with Epoxy!
Fattmat9001 released another helpful video that shows us features of Epoxy that some of us may not have realized existed before! Interact with comments anywhere; this tool allows you to manage Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube all from the same place, as well as give creative shout outs to your loyal community!

Rumors & Research: YouTube Backstage Update Incoming!
I'm hoping that we'll keep piecing together details about 'YouTube Backstage'. An official announcement by YouTube in the near future would be nice. What am I talking about? Haven't heard about this 'Backstage' stuff before? Well, awhile ago we noticed a ☞ conversation ☜ in which Backstage was very briefly mentioned in reply to someone having a link to a new share page. If you open that image in a new tab and check it out, you'll notice it's stripped down in comparison to what we're currently used to - and has an entirely different link structure. Also, that video belongs to one creator but is being shared by another; that is definitely something new! When asked about all of this, Anthony was not allowed to say anything himself; but he did steer me in the direction of this: http://www.adweek.com/socialtimes/r...ge-will-add-social-networking-features/644007 and I've done some digging around and found things that match up. It seems pretty clear to me that we should be expecting a whole new social networking aspect coming to the YouTube platform. I'm sure that one of our Freedom! Central hosts will give us more details as soon as they are allowed to. For now, it's kind of fun to research, speculate, and think about what it all will mean. Makes sense for YouTube to implement changes like this, they do have to try to keep up with social media evolution - and most other platforms offer video now in addition to rich social backbones.

YouTube causes evolution of the Entertainment Industry!
There's a large impact in the broader scope of the entertainment field, that stems from the massive success of YouTube. Right now I'm talking specifically about movies, with well-known YouTubers in lead roles, that release digitally; skipping the whole Box Office scene! Not being shown in theaters could mean certain doom for a film; without the exposure of being in the Box Office line ups and rotation, your movie wouldn't reach many eyes. It's a different world for popular YouTubers though; they bring with them massive built-in fan bases. No need for big screen time or extra exposure, just get those movies in front of their fan's eyeballs quickly! I've seen tons of different articles around the web that talk about all of this more in depth. You should check out a few!

Great Job.
To all gaming youtubers. If you have over 50 subs you should check out Keymailer.co where you can request steam, Xbox and PlayStation keys for games at no cost. Just make content regularly and make good content. I've actually built up my steam library with heaps of paid games and there all from Keymailer. If you have any questions about it be sure to write on my profile.
Best of luck to all of the community.
Over and out!

Really great tip! I get quite a bit of games from Keymailer myself. Tweeting out games using their official hashtags helps increase your Keymailer ranking too. Also, it helps you get in the practice of using the appropriate official tags on YouTube for games too. Free games are awesome! Keymailer is seriously one of the most rewarding things a gaming content creator can sign up for. Excellent recommendation! :)

Your exactly right. If I get a chance I will write a post about it in the resources section. This is a tool that could really raise the production values of channels.
I've decided to move on from gaming on YouTube but I might start a gaming review site and have that linked to Keymailer.
