Heya everyone,

trying to get better at forums and socialising etc so I figured I'd talk about this.

I am a retro gamer and one of my favourite games is Comix Zone on the Sega Mega Drive. I was wondering who else out there has played this game and what they thought of it? I thought the art in the game is amazing and the style of travelling through the comic is brilliant. The game plays very smoothly and is bloomin difficult. I keep getting beaten by Kung Fung!

Anyway, what are your thoughts on the game? :)

I have played it on a megadrive collection on psp, never really owned the original cartridge, but hope to get it eventually, it's a good game and pretty tough as well.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the game and yeah, it is tough. Did you ever do the secret move of ripping the paper and making a paper plane? Takes off a bunch of your own health to do, so use it sparingly!

that sounds familiar, I still own my genisis, but sadly now i can only play n emulator, i mean she still works, but its hard to find games, and if you do they are expensive haha

That depends on where you look for expense, sometimes you can get really lucky in Charity Shops (I just got a PSONE Mini for £3.50). Also, there are some Facebook groups where you can find some games at good prices (Game Trader, Retro Game trader etc). As well as this, I sell retro games on my own Facebook page :)

If you go the emulator way though, there is a cheap way of making something really awesome. Do you know about Raspberry Pi's? (the computer, not the food xD). You can download an emulation system onto a raspberry pi and build an arcade machine. A raspberry Pi only costs about £30 and all the software is free :). The only other thing you would need is controllers (which you can build or buy), a screen (they plug into a PC Monitor or TV just fine) and then however your going to build it. So, standing arcade machine, just a simple box to plug into a tv, whatever you want :).

Here is some images of mine: https://goo.gl/photos/14JzPaGFZRmFuHYu7 (and the building process).

If it looks like something you may enjoy doing, you can find out more about RetroPie (including getting the software) here: https://retropie.org.uk/

...Man... I sound like some kind of advertisement for them..

Double check your genesis but I know that I don't have the region problems on my megadrives. In fact I have genesis ecco the dolphin and x men 2. They work fine on my megadrive. Fair enough on Facebook, I know a few people who have done that.[DOUBLEPOST=1513478340][/DOUBLEPOST]
Used to play it on the Sega Genesis but own it on Steam. Bought it and Street of Rage 3 for reminiscence.

Nice One. So you still get to play it then :)
