Over the last year I've developed a method to render videos precisely in accordance with Google's (YouTube's) recommended encoding settings.
This method works with Sony Vegas and Adobe Premier and relies on a specialized h264 command line to output video precisely the way that YouTube wants. This way it plays nicely with YouTube's own compression and results in the lowest quality loss and highest video and audio quality attainable.
