Use paint.net, i've made all my channel art (intro/logo/banner) with it, and I plan on making the background of my outro with it. Its free for life and works with all sorts of files (Including DDS files if you're into smash modding)

Why would you spend $1000 on an editing program when you have 50 subs when you could use one almost as good for free even if it does crash once in a while

I think you should do a channel revamp; What i mean by that is new logo, new channel banner, and new thumbnails. Also, an intro and outro for your videos will definately help. It won't get you more views as everybody says, but it will ecourage the viewers to subscribe. thats just my opinion :P
