Hello, everybody! I'm back on behalf of the Community Team with another Community Newsletter! This week we discuss the popularity of back to school content, check in with George, a special secret, influential insight about the gaming world, and more!

In Demand: Back to School Content
This time of year students across the globe turn to Google and YouTube in search for back to school related topics, tips, advice, or even just school related media as they're trying to get hyped and ready for a new school year. As a creator, this is something you should be keeping in mind right now! The start of a new school year is fast approaching and students everywhere have their eyes on YouTube! The YouTube platform is continuing to see a lot of this content consumed, and an infographic in the article linked below clearly shows which specific types of videos are getting the most traffic. Everything from product suggestions, teen advice, and tech - to pranks, funny skits, life hacks, and much more are important to Gen Z right now. Have you made any videos recently that fall into any of the popular categories in the article? Share them in the media section, and let us know in a reply here too! Maybe we can feature 1 or 2 videos in the next newsletter!

YouTube Hired Some Serious Pros!

The TV world continues to mix and mingle with the YouTube world as YT recently hired Angela Courtin and Jon Wax for their YouTube Red executive team. Courtin was the chief marketing officer for Fox Broadcasting. Wax was head of scripted programming for WGN America and Tribune Studios. Seems like exciting things are ahead for YT Red! Check out Variety's article for details about what the Red team is up to!

YouTubers Impact the Gaming World!

The NY Times article at the bottom of this paragraph discusses YouTube as an accelerant for video games. This is quite relevant to many of us. If you're a gaming YouTuber, you're part of this! Nowadays game developers have this impact in mind as they market their games; it is common for influential creators to receive copies of games before release - so that they can have videos ready to go live on the day that a game launches! Another amazing thing is the communities that form around the games, YouTubers, and fans. People see a game is fun, then more and more start making content around it, and the community gets bigger and more influential. Developers who see the value in all of this are glad to give copies of their games to YouTubers of all sizes to promote their products and in turn make gamers happy! I really enjoyed this article as a gamer, it brings the big picture into perspective. The specific example they look at is the success of the game Hello Neighbor thanks to the support and attention it got through YouTube and Twitch. It's nice to hear from the development side of the gaming world!

Soon i'll be going back to education, but this time in college.
Just finished my exams and the results I received today were far better than I first expected.

For anyone else who just received their results, I wish you the best!
