Fallout 4 and Copyright

In case you dont already know, Fallout is ok to upload to youtube, but you will recieve content ID claims from the in game music which will cause the videos to be unmonetizeable and sometimes even blocked in countries such as Germany. You may be ok to monetize if you can switch off the in game music, but that kinda ruins the whole atmosphere of the game...

For instance... here are the copyright claims against my last live stream of fallout 4... Just thought I would give you guys a heads up in case you were thinking you could monetize fallout 4, because the developers said its ok... but the radio is not... kinda like gta...

Not only do they gotta deal with censorship be over there, they gotta deal with copyright too!

Not all the time, but yeah in my opinion it works. Cutscenes however, when you want to shut up and watch them, you get them.

Yeah. My old channel is experiencing some of that right now. At least this current one I upload, I have no copyright ID content cause Riot allows free uploading of League.

I find the best way to deal with it is to turn off the radios as quickly as you can. At least the ones that you can. In most cases it will not be long enough to end up with a claim. The other way is if you record your mic audio separate from the game audio you can mute the game audio or lower it at those portions as long as there isn't anything going on at that particular moment such as a cut scene or some action.

Sure, you probably won't be able to get all of them, but at least a good portion.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I am live streaming the game, and dont want to turn the radio off cause its part of the atmosphere of the game. I dont really mind the claims, as long as theyre not strikes, I dont really care...

I do everything in my power to prevent it either way because I don't like how they are able to claim entire videos for what might only be 10 - 15 seconds of their music.

Exactly, that is why few years ago Angry Joe made a video about it. Instead of them sharing the revenue, they take the whole monetization of the video.

You can delete the soundtracks when uploaded with program youtube has right?
I had these problems with The Crew and afterwards i could delete the specific soundtracks.

Doing it that way can lower sound quality in the areas the music was removed.

Fallout 4 uses copyrighted music in its soundtrack (DCR and Classical) so you have to mute the radio to keep from getting a strike
